Stalin said “All men use their head first and then act,” but Radek acted
first and thought afterwards, inspiring the group to the radical action for
which they became famous. Examples of these actions include Barricade in which
they built a real barricade in the city center, blocking the street traffic. In
Against Everybody they urged the electorate to vote against all the political
parties. Later, the group focused on developing new art strategies which were
based not on such radical collisions, but rather explored more subtle, partisan
sabotage. Peter Bystrov, founded the Girevik Production label in 2008, which
has produced a number of music, art and publishing projects.
