Ekaterina Vasilyeva, editor of the Kommersant-Catalogue, author of the book
The Russian Models, lectures in the theory of fashion and design and the
fashion industry in the State University Higher School of Economics, St.
Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State Artistic-Industrial Muchina
Academy and in a number of universities in Finland. Vasilyeva contributes to
many fashion programmes on St. Petersburg television, and Serebryany Dojd radio
station. She is the author of numerous essays on photography, a juror of
international and regional fashion competitions (In Fashion in Russia,
Admiralteiskaya igla etc.). She founded Elle magazine in St.Petersburg, runs a
fashion section in Afisha magazine, supervised columns in Guideline, writes the
Theme and Trends in L’Officiel magazine, and worked in Kunsthalle (Hamburg,
Germany).
